In the darkest times, how can you shine?
/There has been a shadow hanging over all the beautiful things occurring in my life. I haven't allowed myself to fully celebrate and enjoy the huge steps and accomplishments in my business and personal life. I know you have been there at some point, as well. The place where all the amazingness doesn't feel as magical and shiny as it could.
One of my closest friendships has been in disarray for most of the past year. Honestly, I've been hurting deeply and grieving. I've been flowing in and out of all the stages of grief. Now I find myself navigating into acceptance. I have grieved for what was and for the future dreams we shared. I have thrown my pain into the fire, time and again. It has been so important that I was gentle with myself through this and allowed myself to feel all the feels. This most vulnerable time has also showed me where my strength lies.
When it comes to relationships, it's easy to focus on what was and what could have been. This takes us out of the present moment of seeing what it. The relationships in my life are at the top of my value chain. When my relationships don't feel "right", everything is affected. Because this has been the case in the past, I allowed it to exist as my current story. Thank God, thoughts can be changed and patterns can be broken. I choose to move confidently forward in my life and business, even though I am still healing and releasing.
I've been taking my own advice, leaning on others for support, digging in my spiritual/self-care tool box and being gentle with myself each step of the way. The beautiful news - it's working! The more I release, the more doors continue to open. Doors to abundance, relationships and clarity in every area. I am in a better position to help my clients in letting go of things that aren't serving them. I can help them understand that what happens in your personal life does affect how you show up in your business. I'm seeing the brilliance in where I am in my life and all the inspired and aligned action I've been taking. I look back on 2015 and can see my accomplishments, rather than focus loss. I found that I was shining the whole time, I just wasn't present enough with myself to see it.
So if you find yourself with a shadow, I pray the lessons I've learned will help you as well.
- Through our darkest times comes our greatest growth.
- Lean into it. The only way out of it, is to go through it.
- Letting go isn't easy, but holding on can be more difficult.
- As I let go of the things that aren't serving me, I make more room for the things that are.
- Shit makes the best fertilizer - Something to remember when you're in it.
- For a flower to blossom, first it must be the seed. The seed gets buried in the dark earth, cold and alone. With water, nurturing and light - a blossom will emerge.
- Everything is happening for me, not to me.
- Things may not go according to my plan, but they are in perfect alignment with "The Plan."
- Be gentle with yourself, above all.
- Look for the gratitude.
- Reach out to your resources both Above and beside.

Intentional Breathing Meditation
To feel into one of the most important relationships in your life and the basis for the othere, try this. Find yourself a comfortable position, either seated or laying down. Set a timer for 3 to 10 minutes. Close your eyes and focus on your breath. Inhale and exhale, deeply and fully. Silently repeat with your breath.
Inhale "I deserve"
Exhale "my love and affection."
