Redirect and Relax
/Yesterday I planned to get up and have a relaxing, self care morning with all my spiritual tools. And have all the time to sit down and prepare for our year end zoom call.
Instead on the final day of 2020, I was again reminded of the importance of detaching from how things will unfold.
CG was feeling extra extra extra big emotions and after a rough morning, I finally finally finally thought she was soothed and distracted.
So I got in the shower to salvage the morning... Knowing my beautiful shower practice would save the day, as usual. And then she found me.
She came in the bathroom. I asked for privacy. And her big emotions welled up and out again. She reluctantly and thankfully gave me some space. And... I started crying.
It ended up being a perfectly time shedding and reflection of the year.
I let it out and sang Curtis Mayfield’s “It’s All Right” as I moved through the emotions and back into the present moment.
It ended up being exactly what I needed. A resetting and aligning moment, with all the grounding, protection and an awesome chat with my spiritual team.
Woke up today, in 2021, with the song still playing in my mind, smiling about the year and our resilience. Through all of the challenges, we got soul and everybody knows it’s all right. Woah, it’s all right.
