Recovery Quinoa Recipe

In yesterday's blog post I talked about the importance of self care and nourishment during and after a full moon. If you're feeling exhausted, that's ok! I am too. Release and the effects of the moon take a lot out of us. Now is the time to nourish ourselves and drink lots of water. (Maybe have a glass RIGHT NOW :) Yesterday,I mentioned a recipe for a super moon healthy meal my friend Joey shared.  You can make your own version, but it's important to include quinoa, walnuts (or cashews) and raw turmeric root. These elements are natural feel good foods that have an uplifting effect on your body, mind and spirit.  

Recovery Quinoa

Start with cooked quinoa, black beans, raw walnuts.
 

Red peppers, roasted beets, tomatoes, cabbage, raw turmeric root, black pepper.  


The quinoa was lightly seasoned with garlic, black pepper and HImalayan salt.  
 


I love the colors in this meal. Red is the color of our root chakra that keeps us grounded and feeling secure. Perfect for times like this. Also....Yum!!!!
