Stop! Drop! Release!!!!
/Release can take a LOT out of me! And you!! It's NEVER too late to release. The power of the full moon and eclipse are STILL vibrating strong, you can use some of the rituals below TODAY or make your own.
Last night I celebrated the Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse with beautiful rituals. The first thing I did was eat super moon healthy. The delicious recipe and photos will be up on my website by tomorrow! Then I had to create the time for the experience. My beloved assistant was holding her going away party on the same night. It was not easy, making the shortest appearance ever, I would have loved to have stayed, played and danced the night away with this gorgeous soul. However, in checking in with myself -- creating the time for my rituals and getting a great night's sleep after was the most important thing I could do for myself. Remember self-care is not selfish, it's self fuel! After preparing myself with nourishing foods and creating the time, I dug in.
1. I placed all my stones, crystals and jewelry containing them in the moonlight to be cleansed and charged. Stones hold energy and can get "dirty" the more we use them. If you wear the same jeans every day for a year, just imagine -- the same goes with your diamond ring, pearl earrings, crystals you wear in your pocket --or bra. (Do you know about my boob rocks? I love placing stones in my bra so that I can soak up their metaphyscal properties.) So in this case we're talking about cleansing their energetic body, getting the stones clean so we can benefit the most from their magic.
2. I made moon water. I place filtered water in a large mason jar outside and set the intention that it will be soaking up the power of the full moon. I will also put a stone or stones in there (I recommend polished only, as some stones are toxic in raw form or can dissolve in water.) Lately I've been writing words outside my jar as well and that feels incredible -- Bella Luna, Love, Kindness, Divine Guidance, Abundance, etc... I drink a sip of my moon water every morning as part of my routine
3. I sat outside and soaked it up!! I found stillness in my mind and body. I visualized myself being filled with all the moon and eclipse magic. It brought me peace, clarity and strength.
4. I wrote down everything I was ready to release from my mind, body and soul. I continued to write until I felt complete. I took the paper outside and burnt it. I released it with love and gratitude. At one point all of those things served me. They protected me and kept me safe, but not any longer. They were holding me back and it was time to let go.
5. I sat down and wrote my new intentions for the next phase. I wrote them as if they were already mine. After each statement I wrote the words "Thank you!" This felt incredible!!
I drifted off to sleep breathing deeply and by silently stating beautiful affirmations that begin, "I am ______." I am happy. I am courageous. I am abundant. I am compassionate. And on and on........
I woke up this morning before my alarms startled from dreams. In dream land each time I blew my nose, little green worms came out. No surprise - it freaked me out!!! I asked myself what does this mean? I realized it was release. I had continued doing this deep release work in my sleep. "Parasites" that had attached themselves to me were being dispelled from my body, my mind, my soul. I chose to see this as a beautiful omen. That I was truly releasing all these things that I had held on to for so long.
Today I feel the drain of this work. I feel the depletion and quietness that sets in after you let go. I feel empty - which isn't a bad thing - it's liberating. It's the very best place to fill myself up - this time with things that do serve me, my passions, my future. So I reread my intentions that I wrote last night and I am already feeling an incredible shift. A shift in consciousness. A shift in my physical body. I will take this day to be gentle with myself and work on staying grounded. No pressure, healthy eating, time in nature with Bear, a magical bath this evening, possibly a nap between clients.
If you didn't do a moon ritual last night, have no fear! There's still time to do one just like this or something similar. The power of the full moon lasts for 3 days. It's a wonderful opportunity for reflection, release and self care.
What are the things you do when life calls for extreme self care? I'd love to hear about your own personal rituals. Please comment below.
Intentional Breathing Exercise
If you would benefit from lightness in your mind and body today, try this...
Find a comfortable seated or lying down position. Set a timer for 3 to 10 minutes. Close your eyes and bring your awareness to your breath. Take equal length inhales and exhales. Breathe slowly and deeply. Allow your body to relax with each breath, including your jaw and your facial features. Feel the rise and fall of your stomach as you silently repeat….
On the inhale "Light"
On the exhale "Love"
